At its Biebesheim site, near Frankfurt am Main, Moll Rail has opened a new chapter in industrial manufacturing. Covering an area of around 40,000 square metres, one of Europe's most advanced production facilities for pre-stressed concrete sleepers has been built, designed to deliver maximum efficiency, outstanding quality and long-term sustainability.
With an annual production capacity of around 500,000 concrete sleepers, the facility is setting new benchmarks within the industry. Its high level of automation enables large production volumes to be manufactured to consistently high quality standards while remaining competitive, even under demanding market conditions. This makes the plant a key contributor to the expansion and modernisation of rail infrastructure.
Beyond its technical capabilities, the site also reflects the strategic importance of industrial value creation in Germany. A reliable supply of high-quality infrastructure components such as concrete sleepers is essential for the future of rail transport and, in turn, for sustainable mobility.
The Biebesheim facility demonstrates how industrial innovation, automation and uncompromising quality standards can be combined into a forward-looking production concept, making an important contribution to strengthening rail infrastructure across Germany and Europe.
