The completion of the Horácká Arena in Jihlava marks the successful delivery of a major infrastructure project. Combining contemporary architecture with exceptional engineering precision, the multifunctional stadium has already established itself as a new landmark and a source of regional identity.
Moll Rail & Precast Czech Republic made a significant contribution to the building’s distinctive appearance. The project featured custom-manufactured, red-pigmented reinforced concrete precast elements, giving the stadium its unmistakable character. The combination of colour, form and texture creates a strong visual identity while emphasising the project’s architectural ambition.
The project placed demanding requirements on both planning and execution. Every section of the stadium required a bespoke solution in terms of geometry, inclination and connection technology. One of the greatest challenges was the construction of the curved corner stands, which required exceptional precision in the design and manufacture of the formwork.
Close collaboration between all project partners was key to the successful delivery of the project. From the earliest design stages, the precast concrete specialists worked closely with the architects and structural engineers. This collaborative approach was supported by continuous quality control throughout production, ensuring smooth installation on site and a consistently high-quality finished result.
